BNRG Ballymahon
BNRG Ballymahon is a new renewable solar development in the rural townlands of Tirlickeen and Cartonbrack, Clogh, Corryena, and Lismacmurrogh, County Longford. Once developed, the solar farm will save 30,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually and will power the equivalent of 20,000* homes annually.

About the Project
Situated on 104 hectares across 5 nearby sites, BNRG Ballymahon has been carefully selected for its low-lying land suitable for high solar gains.
Enhanced screening
Sheltered by enhanced hedgerows and buffers, the site is strategically located near the existing national grid infrastructure. Set back, new planting and fencing will help screen the low-lying solar array panels.
Working with the community
We are committed to working closely with the local community at all stages of the project.
Community benefit fund
A community benefit fund will be established, likely contributing €3.2 million over 16.5 years.
Protecting the landscape and environment
Environmental, landscape and heritage conservation are at the core of this solar development.
Best-in-class expertise
By bringing together best-in-class experts, we ensure BNRG Ballymahon meets the highest standards in preserving local ecology, biodiversity, wildlife and heritage.

Working with the community
We are committed to working closely with the local community at all stages of the project. Prior to submitting a planning application, we will host a public consultation clinic at Bridgeways Family Resource Centre, Ballymahon 16th July from 6-9pm.

Community Benefit Fund
A Community Benefit Fund will be established, likely contributing €2,700,000 over 15 years.
